This version is 10.7” long, 15.8” wide and 28.6” high. It weighs 42 pounds, so ths HSM 108.2 version is lightweight. It can cut up to 24 sheet of material at once. The shreds are accumulated in the bin that is 13 gallon big.

This version can shred up to 23 sheet at once. The cutted pieces are accumulated in the 31 gallon big wastebasket. It has a LED indicator that shows you when to empty the bin. This HSM 386.2 version is 16.2” long, 21.5” wide and 33.8” high. It weighs 73 pounds.

HSM 411.2 Shredder

Unlike previous model and it’s versions, this one is a cross-cutter which means that the shreds are a lot smaller, therefore the security level is higher. This can shred up to 384 sheet of paper per minute. When in automatic function, it can shred up to 16 sheets at once.The shredded cuts are 1/32” wide and 3/16” long.

The motor that runs the system has 1.8 horsepower and it’s fan-cooled which prevents its overheating. Becuse of this system, it can run continuously without shutting down for cooling down and it’s ideal for 20-25 users.

Another very unique feature that ensures easy maintainance is the automatic oiler for cutters. The cutting cylinder is made from stainless solid steel which will ensure the highest cutting performace.

Beside that, it’s longlasting since is water-resistant and anti-rusting. This longevity is ensured with the lifetime warranty. This device also has the safety shield that prevents any injuries from happening.

HSMS10 Shredder

This HSM shredstar paper shredder has very small sheet capacity in comparison to previous models. Also it has the strip-cutting system so the particles of material have smaller security-level in comparison to cross-cutter models. The security level is P-2.

The cutting speed is 6.7” per minute, and the system is powered with motor that has 0.17 horsepower. The shreds are accumulated in the bin which is smaller. The bin has only 4.7 gallon capacity.

Therefore, you will have to empty it more often. The content of the bin can be tracked throught the inspection window. This is one of the most compact models, so the bin and sheet capacity are both part of the smaller design.

The device is 8.8” long, 13.2” wide and 15.9” high. It weighs only 9.9 pounds so it’s one of the most lightweight models in comparison to other. And it features casters so you can easily move it from one side to another.

Because of the compact design its ideal for deskside use, for one to two users daily. It has separate CD slot. It can shred credit cards, DVDs, CDs, paper clips and staples, paper etc. The thicker material must be shredded manually. The noise level is small.

HSMX10 Shredder

This is a cross-cut model that makes shred particles that are 3/16” wide and 1-1/8” long. It has a higher P-4 security level than strip-cut models. It can cut up 10 sheets at once with automatic function.

The cutter will shred staples, credit cards, CDs, DVDs, paper etc. The CDs, DVDs and credit cards have theit own separate slot. It has automatic start/stop function and the shredding won’t start if the doors are open or if the bin is full.

Bin has an visible window to keep track of the amount of waste. It has a 5.3 gallon capacity, which is small in comparison to other models but it’s a part of the compact deskside design. It’s 9.6” long, 13.6” wide and 18.3” high. It weighs 13.7 pounds.

This device is suitable for 1-2 people to use it. There are the LED indicators for different operating status of the device: power, overload, overheat and full bin. Therefore it’s easy to maintain the device.

The system is energy-efficient. The motor has 160W of power and to prevent it from overheating there is a cooling down period.After 7 minutes of continuous work, there is a 45 minute of cool down period.

Device performes with low noise level, and it has the anti-jam technology that automatically reverses the paper when it’s stuck because of the overload. Cutting cylinder is made froms solid steel. It’s water-resistant, long-lasting and covered with the lifetime warranty.

HSM X5 Shredder

This model is also lightweight and portable. Altough small, it has bigger sheet capacity so with it you can shred up to 83 sheets of paper per minute. It can shred paper, staples and paper clips.

For CDs, DVDs and credit cards there is a special slot. Paper slot is 8.5” wide so you don’t have to fold the paper to feed it into the cutting area. The cutting cylinder is made from solid steel, and it’s durable and water resistant.

So, the brand covered it with the lifetime warranty so you can be sure of the device’s quality. It’s a cross-cut model so the material is shred to the 5/32” wide and 1-1/2” long particles.

It will cut up to 7 sheets at once. The security level is P-3 so you can shred the confidential data. The noise level isn’t so low, but you can still use it in the office comfortably. It doesn’t have anti-jam technolgy.

But, the device has the automatic start/stop function and manual reverse function. The bin has 4.2 gallon capacity and it’s easy to pull it out and throw away the waste. It wieghs 8.6 pounds. It’s 8.3” long, 13.3” wide and 16” high.

HSM Paper Shredder Parts And Accessories

Parts such as cutters are main to the system, therefore I recommend you to buy specifically made ones from the brand. Other parts such as bin, wheels, parts of the electric system etc can be universal. Conclusion: What’s The Best HSM Shredder?

In my opinion, the best HSM document shredder is the 390.3 model because it has the highest sheet capacity and bin volume and it’s the best for larger office bussiness. With it’s heavy-duty motor and energy efficiency system, you can let it run the whole day and it can be used by up to 12 people. It has the safety features, anti-jam technology and the overload protection. You can easily move it because of the wheels. It’s a strip-cutter, so if you want higher security-leveled HSM paper shredder go with the cross-cutter paper shredder models I’ve reviewed, but they have smaller sheet capacity.
